I have heard that many colleges make their videos for publicity, promotion and showing off the campus. Many colleges even mail such documentary videos to show off the lifestyle at the place. Usually life is not so interesting in colleges which are far off the main city.

This video was made on the occasion of 50th anniversary of KMC Manipal. It truly shows from what diverse culture and ethnicity people belong. They have lots of harmony amongst themselves. Have a look at this and you will come back every time, again and again to have a look.

This post is meant for people who are not living in Manipal. Obviously for people who live there dont need any description of the lifestyle.

Most people have the thinking that Manipal is a place for fun, adventure and no serious work! Well, some of my friends in other colleges have this thinking. To clear these myths I would like to mention that there are lots of technical clubs active at Manipal and around.

Last sem MIT got a new organisation. Its not a Club, its a Users Group. Both differ vastly, they have different setup of members, no board members, no chairman, only voulenteers. They only have a coordinator whose post is currently held by the faculty advisor, Prof Aithal of Computer Science Department, MIT. This the most active organization presently out there at MIT. Meeting or workshops are held every week, discussions and presentations. An excellent platform for showcasing your talent. Now it has its own site, wikis etc. Check out its site here

Most people do pen down their experiences while studying in any institution. Same here, this is not a place for bashing anyone, nor showing FUD, but making people aware of the reality and ground situation of Manipal. Its beauty and the multi diverse culture which makes Manipal not just a place but also “A Way of Life”!
